The activities below can be completed at any age and in any season. They can take 5 mins…..or as long as you want! If you are a local and get down here frequently then I recommend you do these activities each season/each month and notice what the changes are. How many different flowering plants can you find?
Time this will take…..5-20 mins.
Pollinators like our native bees, honey bees, hoverflies and flies need food from lots of different flowers in all seasons, even winter (though most native bees die in winter)!
The BEE Gardens have been designed to have plants flowering in all seasons and, over the winter just gone, I counted 13 different types of flowers in July…
So…3 questions to answer.
1- How many different flowers can you find?
2- What colours are they?
3- What shapes are they?
Remember to look at all of the gardens!
